My son and I stopped in to visit Wildman and see his collection of militaria. We enjoyed our visit very much and Wildman is a very knowledgeable person concerning the war between the states. He's getting on up in age but still takes time to...More

Dent Myers, AKA "Wild Man", who owns the shop, is exactly that. The great thing about him is he doesn't care. He has an extensive, and I mean staggeringly so, collection of history. Not everything is related to the civil war, but much is. Dent...More

Whatever your beliefs or political views may be, no one can deny that Wildman's is an interesting piece of history. It provides a glimpse into what life was like during the Civil War era, as well as the preservation of Southern history.

This place to me was just so-so. There is a lot of treasures and junk in this place. "Wildman" is definitely a character - knows a lot about southern history, however some people will be very uncomfortable in this place. No desire to go back.

This is quite an experience for those wanting a look into the vintage South...Lots of stuff to look at and read. No, this place is not PC (politically correct) and doesn't claim to be...so snowflakes and liberals will not like it for sure....Doesn't cost anything...More

Mr. Dent Meyers' "Wildman's Civil War Surplus" store is one of a kind. There are a LOT of interesting items from "the late unpleasantries," or "the war of Yankee agression" as Granny Clampett called it. Mr. Meyers, or "Wildman" is a noted authority on the...More

Perhaps "other side of he tracks" will help you get the jest of it. A crowded visual and oral experience if he is there and you get to talk to him. Be guided by the name and do not go with museum expectations. He has...More
