Our pilot, Shawn, was terrific. Explained everything. This was the only way to do it. Got to smell the sulphur emanating from the volcano, felt the heat, and got us very close. I got amazing pictures.

Our pilot got us right up close to everything, he couldn't have done a better job! We went right through the valleys next to the insanely tall waterfalls and got to see the lava flow- it was actually exploding out! Thanks again to Ryan, excellent...More

Booked the Circle Island Tour but were advised by the pilot that he could not safely access the volcano due to weather and visibility would mean no chance of seeing any lava. The pilot immediately offered either, Valley tour or reschedule. We elected to do...More

We flew with Ryan as our pilot...a local with lots of experience, and all felt very safe. Flying over the bubbling lava and then down into the lush valleys and along the coast with truly awesome waterfalls.....unique, wonderful experience.

The mobility of the helicopters and the skill of the pilots gets you an immersive experience. Following remote coasts and hovering above lava flows, there is no shortage of awesome views. Side note: There were about 75 people and some bad weather and delays but...More

We chose Paradise after the concierge at the Four Seasons exclaimed that “Paradise Helicopter Tours were most aligned with Four Seasons’ standard and level of service.” That sold it, and we booked 2 window seats on a 2.5 hour Circle Island Experience from KOA. We...More

The crew was great, tour is spectacular. Even though we had a rainy day, the crew provided a different tour that was still amazing. The helicopter is small of course, but more comfortable than we thought it might be. Highly recommend this trip if you're...More

We drove from Kona to Hilo, I believe it was cheaper than taking the flight from Kona. My suggestion is the same as the other replies, check with the tour company. Enjoy your flight!
