We sat outside the cellar, admiring the view of Melnik, trying a few wines and chatting with Mitko who owns the winery. He is passionate about his work and the wines were all good quality, both red and white. The local grape varieties are different...More

We were on a trip in Melnik and before we left the town we tried and bought, my husband chose dry, and I chose their semi-dry wine. Their wine is rich and dense and can tell long stories ... especially when you try it if...More

I have been visiting Shestaka Wine Cellar with my foreign guests for years know and I know that the owner is an acquired taste. People often perceive him as rude, but the simple fact is that he is just a little strange and once you...More

The cave is very interesting and has quite an ambient. It really feels like going back in time. The owner speaks on how he tries to keep the tradition and it indeed feels like it. The wine is OK, a matter of taste, keep in...More

The owner wasn't too friendly when we first arrived, but warmed up to us once he saw we wanted to buy some of his wine, not only taste it. The cellar is original and quaint. Definitely worth the climb up the steep hill.

Great location, very nice view and the wine is OK but unfortunately the service is not that great. The owner has to learn how to give better service to his customers. Everything is about the experience not just getting wine in your system! Not sure...More

Everything was great but we did not like the wine itself, a matter of taste. The cellar and the place were nice , you have a view to the town

A small wine cellar that has been owned by the same family for generations. They produce red and white wine, plus rose, all from Bulgarian grapes. The owner was nice and chatty (it helped that we both speak Slavic languages), and the low temperature in...More

It offers traditional Bulgarian wines from the region. Very beautiful city views. Not very friendly owner. Good prices for wines. We saw two rainbows here.
