Iskra Museum - founded in 1901, is among the oldest regional museums. More than 50 000 original exponents are kept there. They present the material and spiritual culture of the region. Represents the historical heritage of the region, including all Thracian tombs from the Valley of Thracian kings. Permanent expositions - Archaeology, Revival, New History, Etnography and Newest History.

History of the Kazanlak region in exhibits from prehistoric, Thracian (for example from Seuthopolis), Roman, Middle Ages, to the present. The implications from recent Thracian finds appear to rewrite history. You may be able to talk to an archaeologist who worked on Thracian archaeological sites.

Easy to access.. well- preserved building.. multiple excibitions from prehistoric to after World War II. The staff was friendly and well informed.. they offered their help and knowledge.

There are 2 tickets , I only paid for Museum, maybe on a wet day I would have visited Gallery also. This is a great museum from Neolithic pottery to the Wars of Independence, but the highlight is the goods from the tombs.

If you are around the Kazanlak go to the museum. The finds from Thracian town of Seuthopolis are displayed in three separate halls. The inventory from tha tomb of Sevt 3 /Thracian king/ are situated there. I recommend this museum.
