Afterwards, in the vicinity, you can get some crispy or old beers. In the abbey you can learn on brewing process and history as well. The scene is nice and not too stuffed with tons of information but also you get the basics you need. To visit the new monastery there are only 2 possibilities in each year I think, and the brewery itself also. When you are in the neighbourhood, definitely visit the orval Abbey. It has both ruins, history, new buildings and the brewery with a very informative tour.

LOVED this place! The beer and cheese were both excellent. The grounds (ruins) are also quite interesting and the whole experience was fascinating - would return here in a flash!
