Stayed in Keystone a while back. Despite living here for a few years a long time ago, I had never taken the Iron Mountain Road - had heard of it but didn't even know what it was. Decided to drive it with the family. It's...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our drive on this road with the twists and turns and the tunnels plus all of the other scenery. One of the best views was when coming out of one of the tunnels and getting a great view of Mount Rushmore. After...More

Beautiful winding roads that ultimately lead to Rushmore. As you near, the monument can be seen through the tunnel which makes for the perfect photo op. The tunnels can be tight but are larger than you would believe them to be. All in all, just...More

This was a beautiful drive with a lot of fun, twisty roads. We visited in March, I would imagine it is even better during this summer and fall. Well worth the time.

The ride is fun and compares well with the Tail of the Dragon. I like it better. Views are fantastic, curves are fun, tunnel views of Mt. Rushmore are cool. Pig tail bridges and split road is unique.

This drive is scenic all the way. I pulled a camper and it was tight through the tunnels. Bring the camera and be prepared to take your time and stop a lot.

Very cool to drive through. Great picture spot of Mount Rushmore from here. Everyone in my family was very impressed.

Wow, you must take this road on your way to Mt. Rushmore. When you are driving through these roads, you cant wait to see the iconic face of the MT. Rushmore national park. What a rush and what a beautiful view.

There are many small attractions and sights along this road so it's well worth a slow drive to take them all in.

Definitely worth the drive. Did it in September so traffic (# of cars) wasn't the same as peak season. I recommend to anyone driving/staying in the area. Drive slow and be ready to pull over for some great shots. If someone behind you is in...More

Don't forget Devil's Tower. The area is beautiful, and it would be en route between Iron Mountain Road and the Grand Tetons.
