I wanted to see a burlesque show and got more than I paid for. The Green Fairy and her show and the way she prepares the Absinthe drink was great! It was great to learn the history of absinthe and why only 3 states allow...More

We popped in here on our first night when we arrived just to grab a beer after a long flight. Having just landed and being very tired, we weren’t quite up for the necessity for crowd participation, and was generally irritated but the whooping and...More

Good bar to enjoy some jazz music in a small venue. We watched some sets and had some nice beers. They also have burlesque shows at back of the bar area if you are interested.

The WORST service I have ever had, working in hospitality myself I could not believe it took over 30 mins to prepare a basic drink. You couldn’t enter the burlesque show without a drink even if you paid the entry fee, so half of our...More

Wandered in because of the music we heard while walking down Charles Street. A real Dive, but excellent entertainment. An authentic throwback to the 50's complete with tacky burlesque in the back. Great little find

The five of us gals decided to cap off our "night of no regrets," aka visiting as many places and doing everything we wanted to on our bucket list of "night out" events by seeing a burlesque show at the Mahogany Jazz Hall. Unfortunately, the...More

On Chartres Street, this small bar evokes old New Orleans more than most of the many experiences we've had here. We stopped by here several evenings for the 9:00 show (there's also a show at 6:30). Seating is extremely limited, at the bar, a row...More

Great cozy bar in the fine style of live music then a bar. Good service by folks that know visitors want a good time but a safe place to hang out. Reasonable prices and the uniquely odd burlesque show for for so inclined. Old school...More

We kind of felt the history here. Reasonable drink prices, good jazz music, burlesque in the back room. Had fun here

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and

away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
