This visit will completely depend upon the music. We stopped by mid-afternoon on a Saturday and caught a very good band. Service, cleanliness, restrooms, street hawkers, will not change so if the music is not to your liking, don't waste your time stopping. Believe me,...More

This is a great bar on Bourbon Street. There is live music, and the bands that perform take requests. It certainly had a 1990s theme when we went (many 90's alternative rock songs were played). It was a fun time. The vibe was great as...More

Went here during the week and they had an awesome band playing a lot of 80s rock. Lots of bartenders so you never had to wait in line. Very fun place.

We stumbled (not literally) upon this place because we could hear live music from the street, as we love live music of just about any type. Fun little band playing all genres of music that everyone knew. There weren't many people there when we 1st...More

Enjoyed this bar more than most, good bands who really left it all on the stage, place always had a good atmosphere, happy hour early on with 2 for 1 on bottles costing $7, $5 each later (not sure how that is 2 for 1...More

We visit this place every time we go to New Orleans. The music is always good at night and the atmosphere is always fun. It's not very far down Bourbon Street so it's easy to find.

The beer is expensive but you’re on Bourbon Street, so that’s to be expected! I stopped in here because I know my grandparents went there many decades back. They had a decent 80s band, singing lots of songs from my childhood! The bathrooms were like...More

It's gotta be the music but the atmosphere is open and inviting that you don't have to stay all night although on some nights you would. Second time visiting this spot and the vibe is still good over the years.

We stopped in here and there was a very good rock band playing many good covers. Plenty of room to dance, if you want and we were there during two-for-one drinks so it was a good deal. Also a great place to watch people get...More

We visited a lot of places and listened to a lot of music. What makes this place stand out is not only the great music, but between sets, the house MC keeps the party going by playing great music and singing to it. I would...More

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Over a few years, I've been to the Famous Door several times and it seems they have a different band each time. I hope they don't change to Country and Western music!!! Gotta love that good old Rock & Roll!
