I was pleasantly surprised at how great this tour was. I was originally planning to book the St Louis Tour, but I’m so glad I was able to book this tour. It was a small group with a passionate and knowledgeable guide Glenn. He provided so much insight into the history of the cemetery. I’m so glad I could support a local nonprofit that helps ensure the history of New Orleans cemetery gets shared.

This tour from Save My Cemeteries was a great experience, from the informative and entertaining guide, to the organization of the tour, to the interesting topics discuss, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour from start to finish.

To start, it was easy to find the starting point at the funeral home, and the tour started promptly at the advertised time. We started out with an explanation about how and when the cemetery was founded, and quickly moved on to learn about how the different plots are made, the reasons behind some of the architectural decisions, and many more details I would have not even thought to ask about.

It's especially gratifying to know that this tour is run by a non-profit whose mission is to raise funds to help other New Orleans cemeteries that do not get the funding and special attention that Metairie does. I would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at this tour. Glenn took his time to explain detailed history, and we learned a lot while seeing everything of interest. The sprawling cemetery is in beautiful condition. We also did the St. Louis you’re from another company, which was interesting too, but that was a fraction of the size, information (due to the time allotted), and it was somewhat in disrepair. We highly recommend this tour!

Our recent cemetery tour in Louisiana, led by Glenn, was an exceptional experience. The guide's expertise and storytelling transformed the cemetery into a living history book. We explored the hauntingly beautiful gravesites, learning about the people and events that shaped Louisiana's past. Glenn made the journey captivating, providing in-depth insights and anecdotes that brought history to life. The tour was well-paced and intimate, allowing for a more immersive experience. We left with a deeper appreciation of the region's history and culture. Highly recommended for those seeking a unique and enriching adventure!

We enjoyed an amazing tour with family and a few others on a rather warm morning. Glenn was a true gem - funny, full of stories and important history, and fantastic at finding shady spots for us to stand while listening to him. I would gladly have spent more time with him - whether in the heat or over a cup of coffee - he has so much to offer and contributed to being a highlight of our long weekend trip.

The cemetery, like the city itself, holds much history and numerous examples of grand workmanship. We greatly appreciate the Save Our Cemeteries group for hosting such an amazing tour and being a true nonprofit dedicated to the betterment and maintenance of the amazing resting places in the area.

Glenn was an excellent guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. We learned much more than expected and the tour was filled with many historical anecdotes. For a very hot morning in September, Glenn did an outstanding job keeping us as shaded as possible without missing anything. I would highly recommend.
