Located on the Mississippi River adjacent to the French Quarter Audubon Aquarium of the Americas immerses you in an underwater world. The colors of a Caribbean reef come alive in our walk-through tunnel, while our penguins and Southern sea otter enchant you with their antics. Touch a sting ray, feed a parakeet, and marvel at our gigantic sharks, tarpon, and rays in the 400,000 gallon Gulf of Mexico Exhibit. Watch for sea turtles throughout the Aquarium-as coordinator of the Louisiana Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue Program, we prepare many of them for release to the wild.

Definitely worth checking out! There is a pass available to visit all three for a very good price! Check out some of the travel websites such as travelshock for an even better package deal!

We found this aquarium along the waterfront and were pleased that we entered. Very well maintained with friendly staff and even a cafe upstairs with windows overlooking the Mississippi. Not a large place but very interesting.

This is a beautiful aquarium and based on their tips we arrived mid afternoon to avoid the crowds. It was not crowded at all and easy to see all of the exhibits while still being able to view the feedings of the penguins and other...More

Aquarium is safe, clean, nice looking ,,,, but smaller than expected. Having been to many aquariums this is one for the kids, not for adults looking to learn and enjoy the seas and rivers. I guess we have been spoiled having been to many other...More

Not a spectacular aquarium but enjoyable. Was a day of torrential storms, thunderstorms, wind, and flooding. Great place to be at the time. Also, great views of the Mississippi while being dry. The movie theater for the facility is outside, but a short covered walk...More

I don’t usually like aquariums but this one was great to go around. The aquatic habitats are almost as good to look at as the fish themselves

This Aquarium is really well done. There is something to see around every corner. The line moves quickly, so the wait isn't very long. TIP: Go Early and start up stairs. The school groups will be down stairs, so you can avoid the maddening crowd....More

I loved this Aquarium! It's clean, spacious and the employees are friendly. I was able to feed birds (1.50$ for a stick with food on it) and I watched the otters (Clara and Ruby) forever. It was quiet when I went, which meant I could...More

A well organized and roomy aquarium with many interesting exhibits. The line outside may look imposing, but moves quickly. You can book both Audubon Aquarium and the Audubon Zoo in a package that saves a bit of money. Staff are friendly and helpful.

On a mid day afternoon this place was crowded and noisy. the exhibits were mediocre at best. If you are going to see an aquarium Tampa FL and even Chattanooga Tenn have better displays. Most exhibits were difficult to see with the children climbing up...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title

little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
