I am always in awe of the beautiful capital building the state of Wisconsin has. We used to visit the Veterans museum when it was on the fourth floor. I always called miss forward, Mrs Rennebahm.

Cool place to get out of the heat. We took part of their free tour then heading to the observatory level. All beautiful. Worth the visit.

A must see when stopping in Madison. Beautiful building with a terrific layout. Prettiest statehouse we have visited. Nice cool spot for a break from the summer heat too.

The state capital is a majestic building, you can get to the top to see a great view of Madison. The square below is bustling with activity, lots of things to do nearby.

The price is right, FREE. Very interesting building with lots of history. Colorful and very maze like. Take a guided tour or wander. There is a tiny museum and outdoor lookout on the upper floor that is fun.

We arrived at the Capital building just as a tour was starting. We stuck around and learned much about our Capital. We enjoyed the history lesson, learning about each of the rooms, and the stories behind the art/murals/sculptures. Our tour guide was awesome, so enthusiastic...More

Actually, the tree is dragged (!) inside the Monday after Thanksgiving. It takes a few days to decorate it, and the official lighting ceremony is that Friday, this year, Dec. 1. (I've worked there for 16 years.)
