From the main road itself, situated at Tawalatenna, St. Clair's is known as the Sri Lankan Niagara falls. Breathtaking view and a beautiful surrounding.

This waterfall is located in the Nuwara eliya and Awissawella road. You can't reach closer and touch water. there is a viewing point.From there you can see the beauty of the fall

You can get some nice views of the falls from the Road. Nice place to take a break whils travelling south from Kandy.

We did not walk to the waterfall - did not know it was possible. However beautiful stop and beautiful waterfall seen from the road.

You can go near the falls, it's about 200-300m from the viewing platform. The steps would not lead near the waterfalls but there's a footpath which is slippery. Please be very cautious and make sure to take an insect... More

As you are traveling by train, it is best to get off at Talawakele railway station and take a tuk tuk to St Clares water fall as you can view it from the view point which is located in the Hatton-Nuwaraeliya road. There you... More
