About
No matter the season, Nami Island is a beautiful destination to visit all year round. Known for appearing in many Korean dramas, the island has numerous lanes lined with pine trees, gingko trees, redwood giants and more. Take a scenic walk along the wooden riverside path and snap a photo with the Winter Sonata statue in Gongsaengwon Garden. You can get to the island via ferry or one of the longest ziplines in Korea. Alternatively, join a popular day trip from Seoul which includes Nami Island, Petite France and Garden of Morning Calm. Some tours include attractions like Mount Seorak or Gangchon Rail Bike as well. – Tripadvisor

We did a day trip to Nami Island. Middle of winter, it was cold, but worth it. i would love to see it in the spring when everything is blooming. Could spend hours wandering the island looking at whats there.
There is also a zip line you can take to get onto the island which is a must do.

This is one of those places you can visit multiple times in the year and still feel like there's something new to discover. The ferry ride is nice and comfortable, providing you with warm air in the cold winter months especially when it's freezing cold wind chills outside. Place has become somewhat of a tourist destination due to the hugely popular korean drama setting so there are shops ranging from convenience stores to souvenir shops and even restaurants and cafes.

Do note that during winter, some pathways will be frozen over with ice so please wear proper footwear to prevent slipping. There are also a few fire pits where you can enjoy toasting some marshmellows which can be bought from stores nearby. Recommend to spend half a day here to soak in the scenery and take a leisurely walk around the island on foot.

I feel so much energized and exciting with the environment of the island. Efficient ferry and smooth journey. Self Guide walk, trees, frozen lake, tiny animals like rabbit roaming around the place and facilities .

Famous place frequently visited by tourists from Seoul, nevertheless amazing atmosphere during autumn, rather felt like Korean dramas.
Walked until the end of island & less crowd there for some photoshooting.

Quite a fun place to visit. There are storage lockers for your luggage if you have them with you.

Entire place is pretty and cute. You take the ferry or the zip line in, then walk around the island, many groves of different trees - each grove is a single species of trees (ginkgo, walnut, birch, maple) so you get spectacular photographs. Lots of couples there taking photos, lots of tourists too.

There are lots of wild peacocks, squirrels and bunnies, and the river flowing around the island makes it more beautiful somehow.

Food on the island is not much more than at mainland, and the food taste good.

If you take the train from Seoul to Chuncheon, you will not be close to Nami Island. It is actually near Gapyeong. We initially went to Chuncheon and only discovered afterwards that we should have gotten off at the Gapyeong station, which we passed through on the way to Chuncheon.

I’m not sure why TripAdvisor lists Nami Island under Chuncheon, but it wasted an hour of our time.

a half day there should be more than enough to walk around the whole island.

there are many photo spots and gift shop.
there also seem to be some pottery workshop if you're interested in that.

has about 5+ eateries there so no lack of food option

This place was a very fun place to sightsee and to even eat some excellent food. You can get here two ways, the ferry boat or by huge zipline, which was what I did, and that was probably the best part about it, though the zipline was pretty scary. Once you get there, it's full of green and little small details like tiny bridges and sculptures. There's also many different options of food there, so hunger is not an issue. I went in the summer so it was very humid and hot but I would like to visit again in the spring or definitely in the winter when it snows. Overall, I would definitely say it's worth your time and should check it out.

Nami Island is an island in the middle of the North Han River about an hour from Seoul by train or intercity train. it has lots of nice trails and very nice views especially pretty in the fall and spring. You can stay on the island resort. it has an old fashioned vibe.
