We came here midafternoon and unfortunately got caught in a huge thunderstorm. They charge 50000each to get in. There is lots to see. Beautiful lake. Temple etc long journey to get there through a scenic mountain road.

This lake is in the highlands, but don't expect too much. It's a good sized serene lake but does not have outstanding scenery. The temple is the structure that makes this destination attractive. A temple with the lake for its background is a definite recipe...More

My first visit to Bedugul and to Pura Ulun Danu Beratan. It is as beautiful as it is on postcards. Locals conduct their worship ceremony here where tourists flock for that iconic photo. It was raining when I went, but it didnt spoil any photos...More

Lake Beratan is the home of the Holy temple Ulun Danu in Bedugul honoring the god of irrigation. Sadly, I've seen too many disrespectful visitors littering the lake. Local authority needs to crack down and fine the litterers
