In comparison to botanical gardens I saw during other travels, this one was different. I would assume that garden lovers get a bit disappointed, because there are not a lot of flowers. However, there is a huge number of trees, some of them (see pic) being enormous in size.
What I found interesting, too, is that the garden (or park) has become a meeting point for locals to celebrate family gatherings and team-building events.
We went there on the way from Ubud to Munduk - and that is what I would recommend instead of a trip on its own.

I visited this place back in 2010, fast forward to 2022 with Covid 19 Pandemic in consideration, this place definitely is negatively impacted.
Revisit this place as a couple in May 2022, we try to enter 2 of their facilities, however both are closed and not maintained. We can only assume Covid 19 impact was too much like how it take down most of the world business for the past 2 years.
We also noticed 2 foreign national tourists trying to communicate to garden security about maintenance required, unfortunately the response was flat with phrases like “We will convey your comment to our manager”
Open space is still great, with fresh air, green and beautiful scenery for us to walk by. We hope that Bali Botanical Garden that was magnificent in the past can soon see a better recovery.

Bali botanic garden is astonishing beautiful botanic garden, clean and great view toward the lake. The place is good for family or large group to enjoy the garden walk around the big trees or for picnic. the botanic garden has 157,5 hectare. The landscape is mountainous. You can rent bike or self drive buggy.

I have been a number of times and always enjoy getting away and into beautiful nature with great views.
However this time I tried to use the on line booking process. I gave up. I couldn't book the passengers and the car in the same transaction, and I could only pay if I had a bank payment system that supports QR Codes. I don't.

We visited on a grey day with showers, on a fine day it is, I am sure it would have been better. It appears to be quite new as some of the planting, was less developed. But worth a visit.

Sorry to say that although the main areas were clean, when you walk off into the back roads there is rubbish everywhere. See a quite beautiful spot with a sitting hut and you'll find coffee cups, food wrappers and cigarette boxes all over the ground. Its not just here but all over Bali. Its such a cool place and such a great idea to have botanical park full of amazing plants and trees, but some visitors are just so ignorant of the value and beauty of nature they just throw their rubbish on the ground. Very disgusting!! Sorry I didn't get a photo but I'm staying close by and will take a few shots if I have time. Worth a visit, yes, but some very disappointing garbage areas to spoil the view!!!

We spent about an hour here, would have done more but it was raining. very nice especially the cactus building. Unfortunately many jerks carve their initials into the cactus. I would have liked to see one & take care of that problem. The bird park is better however.

We were passing the area and decided to drop in.The Gardens are pretty and you can drive around each area and stop and get out and walk around.I enjoyed the cactus hothouse and there are some beautiful specimens all around.Well maintained and easy way to spend 1/2 hour or so

I would say most are (not the fern forest), but there are some inclines that may be difficult to navigate. You certainly could plot a path through the garden.
