Munduk waterfall is by far the most popular waterfall in Munduk Village and most visitors to the area include it on their to-do list.

I love this waterfall. It's easy to access and looks amazing with the carpet of green framing the water flow. We usually stay in a local homestay when we visit Munduk, and this waterfall is only a few minutes stroll from the back door. I must have visited it at least 6 or 7 times!

This nice waterfall is walkable from the small village of Munduk. If you stay at Munduk village center, then you can walk up until Melanting Cottage, the trekking down the path until the threeway branch (bamboo on your right side), just walk to the right and in less than 5 minutes you will see this waterfall.

We spilt the Waterfalls up between two days and it was worth it to stretch the hike out.
Some of the paths are unkept and the stairs are uneven/difficult however it is completely worth it once you get there.
The water is cold so we didn’t swim at any of the falls.

Did the hike / trail on the three waterfalls in Munduk. Our hotel owner said take 4 hours. As a 50 year old male in good shape it took 2 1/2 including stops at the falls. Other couple took six, so they either went swimming or got lost.
The trail is easy to follow, but it helps to have a map / GPS to avoid wrong turns. It’s mostly single lane concrete road to smaller communities and farms. Stunning scenery. There were a number of small cafes on the trail - but were all closed as it was late in the day and in slow season.
The hike wasn’t hard - until the first waterfall. 476 steps down. 476 steps back up. But it was worth it. It cost $10,000 IDR. The second waterfall only had 175 steps each way. Also $10,000. The third waterfall had no steps but cost $20,000. Also really well worth it. I think the money all goes to supporting the trail.

Seeing as one pays 20,000 to look at the waterfall some more signposts on the backtracks would be good. We didn’t get an idea where it was until we got to the beautiful but empty Waterfall Restaurant. At one point we were very lost. But we didn’t want to walk in the road as it’s full of bends and there is no real sidewalk. Get it together Munduk!!

A long steep decent and even longer coming back up, but well worth the exercise to see this extraordinary waterfall. I have seen may Bali waterfalls and all are different and all are beautiful, but if you have to choose only one for your visit, Munduk is a good choice.

The area has some fantastic waterfalls and this is one of them. Unlike some of the other waterfalls in the area, this one is easier to get to if your staying in the accommodation along its track. And yes, you can swim there.

It is doable with kids. They have small golfcarts which can be used by staff. They are always pleased to drive staff around.

Hello, no the children would be easily able to complete the trek down and if sure you'd enjoy the quite drive home afterwards as they'll be tired from coming back up.
