The Liang Beach is a nice beach to stop by while visiting Ambon. It lies in the north part of Ambon island, not too far from the Tulehu harbour. The view to the sea is fantastic, a good place for beach photography.
This beach is mostly visited by the locals. Many small shops selling simple food and drinks are available. Public facilities such as shower and toilet are also available. You may need to ask the locals about sunbathing with swimsuit to avoid breaking the local customs. A lot of big trees around the location, nice shade from the sun.

Paradise! This beach is about an hour from Ambon by local mini bus but very easy to get to. There are limited amenities at the beach - Indomie, coconuts, drinks etc.

This is one of the best beach in Ambon. The water is sooo clean. The wave is small. The sand is white and soft. There are boats to rent to reach a small island on the other side. If only I had longer time, it would have been much more fun.

It's an hour away from Ambon but a must visit beach. White sandy beaches from aa far as the eye can see with clear blue waters!

Everyone at Ambon rates this as the best Beach on Ambon. Crowded on weekends and vacations. A lot of small Food and drink stores available.

Our visit to Ambon was during weekend time and a gorgeous beach like Liang is popular among locals, so it was packed when we got there. My husband went during a weekday and told me it was completely empty, so if you are foreign and like peace and quiet, you may want to consider going a week day.
As soon as we arrived we rented one of the little fisherman boats at the shore for our family of 4 and headed out to the end of the beach for some snorkeling. This was super fun! There is quite a bit of fish to see and the ride (fairly inexpensive) - Rp. 50,000 per hour. The water was of a beautiful turquoise color. I only wish the locals took better care of the beach. There was some trash floating around on the areas were they were swimming (plastic bottles, food wrappings...) but if you get on one of the fishing boats, you can go to a cleaner area and enjoy yourself and maybe help the environment and setting an example by picking some of the trash on the way back.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Ambon. You can go further to Lubang Buaya as it has a good spot for diving and snorkeling.

Liang beach is just a drive away from the city. Still crystal clear water and beautiful landscape.
You could take millions of good photos here, or just reading a book under the shade of the trees, while enjoying the infinity of blue view.

Liang beach is worth of all...it is just a couple minutes from main city, easy to access with wide smooth road. The shady beach with trees as a roof top, white sand, and olympic pool look alike..the accomodation is simple and affordable price..include for canoe rental and watersport..just be there..you only need to avoid sunday since the visitors are too crowded..
