Was here with friends and family. The pine forest next to this beach is a must visit. the naturally formed land barrier (POZHI) that separates the backwater from the sea is a rare thing.Has a lot of black sand.

The beach doesn't have anything to enthral tourists. It's filled with waste and stray dogs. Thottappally Spillway is very near. Sometimes, locals allow boating.

This is one of the very few beaches in the world around, that has black soil by the sea shore. The reason ofcourse being the high content of Zircon that gives this unique texture.
