My ex and I have a years-long tradition of doing a once-a-week breakfast at the Silver Diner which has been on hold since Covid began, but we picked up the thread this week by doing takeout and bringing our egg sandwiches to Buddy Attick Park. There are simple playground areas for children (abundantly used) and a nice lake with a circular path around it that’s about a mile long. The lake itself is pleasant, although one area has some sort of reedy growth clogging things up. In the absence of picnic tables near where we parked, we found some hard wooden seats near one of the playground areas. A great asset for the Greenbelt community!

Nice walking trail around the lake approximately 1 1/2. Usual park amenities such as benches, picnic tables, play ground etc. Be mindful early morning and early evening that people have been robbed walking on the trail on the far side of the lake. During less populated hours you would be well advised to just double back to stay on the front side of the lake.

This is a nice place to relax, walk, jog, or run. There are great locations and areas for picnic. The tables are free and trash cans and grillers are within the vicinity. There is a nice and safe playground for children, as well. Children love to come back here.

We saw fireworks over the lake for July 4th. It was beautiful and shocking because the fireworks seemed really close to the ground, but it was safe. There was good security, parking, and fair food. I highly recommend coming here to watch fireworks next time. Aside from the fireworks, this is a very nice park to bike, walk, go for a jog or to just hang out at if you want to enjoy tranquil scenery and nature.

This park is where I love going to meditate and yoga it has views that are out of this world and it's something there for the entire family! This spot offers fishing and swimming!

I lived in nearby College Park during grad school and never knew this lake and park were here. After asking around for playground recommendations for my toddler daughter (I never have good luck trying to find parks online) I was told about this park. It was perfect. The playground is nice, with structures for little kids and big kids plus swings. There is a great building with bathrooms (including changing tables), and of course there is the small lake with a trail around it. We were there during the peak of fall colors, so it was gorgeous too.

There is a lovely flat trail around the lake where you can observe birds like great blue herons, song birds, turtles, maybe a fox, squirrels etc. There is a playground and rest rooms.

We were here for the Fourth of July. A great festive atmosphere as everyone prepared to watch fireworks over the lake. The fireworks were fabulous. Love the trail that goes all the way around the lake.

Beautiful small park. Very well maintained, pretty lake and ducks. Several access points around the larger path.

Me and this park are like old friends. This park helps me escape the world around me and it’s just beautiful. I take daily walks here during all seasons and I am so very happy to live so close to this park.
