I found Antelope Valley Canyon Tours (Ligai Si Anii Tours) when I discovered Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons were sold out. What I thought was my "second choice" ended up being an amazing, wonderful experience. I highly recommend this tour group for an adventure that is truly a personalized, expedition into the beauty and nature of the Navajo people and their land. My husband and I felt as if we were guest in our guide, Louise's home (which we actually were). Her stories of the her people, the plants and rock formations were interesting, educational and delightful. Our time in the canyon was limited to the three of us! (I have seen pictures of those other canyons with what seems like a 100 people cramped inside, shoulder to shoulder.) We encountered only two other tour groups, one exiting the canyon before we entered and another just heading into the valley as we approched the area where we parked.
My husband and I took the Wind Pebble Canyon Tour yesterday (March 2022). We are an older couple, a bit out of shape, but exploring and experiencing a slot canyon was something on my bucket list. Louise was so patient, allowing us to move at our own pace, never making me feel bad for the slow pace, up and out of the canyon.
Louise took photos as we visited the canyon, knowing all of the best spots and filters for amazing pictures. She shared those with us as we returned to the base camp.
It was a morning we will never forget.

We booked with Antelope Valley Canyon Tours as the major tours to Antelope canyon were fully booked.
We were so lucky that the other tours were fully booked as this tour was on the next level. We booked the Deer Canyon tour and had a personal 2.5 hour tour with John. His incredible knowledge of the land, the plants, animals and culture truly made the tour into more than a trip into a slot canyon.
Inside Deer Canyon the views are incredible and we were allowed to take our time and take photographs and ask questions. At times the heat and elevation made me struggle a bit but John was patient and allowed me time to recover whilst talking about the canyons and pointing out special points of interest. At no time were we rushed or made to feel that we were just a number. The experience was so worthwhile and will remain with me for ever.
Do not book with any other tour company. Antelope Valley Canyon Tours is truly the best that you can get, I cannot recommend highly enough.

I visited Lower Antelope Canyon 11 years ago when my boys were pre-teens and we were immediately mesmerized by the incredible light and colors of the towering walls. Talking with friends who have visited more recently, I was disappointed to hear each of them describe that magical slot canyon as 'crowded', 'loud' and their tour as 'rushed' & 'hurried'.
Fact is, Lower Antelope Canyon has become a victim of its own beauty and it has lost pretty much all of it's majestic tranquillity.
Returning in April 2021 with family members who wanted the experience but not the feeling of Terminal 2 at LAX, I stumbled across Ligai Si Anii Tours on-line.
Booking was easy and Elise was wonder answering my questions over the phone. Amelia was our guide on this unique and extraordinary venture. She was born on this very land and her knowledge and passion were unmistakable as she lead our party of 9 through an unhurried tour of 3 gorgeous slot canyons. Everyone, including my niece's (leashed) dog, Finn, had a unforgettable time.
If you are seeking a private tour filled with awe, beauty and Navajo history, do yourself a favor and call Ligai Si Anii Tours first!

Absolutely wonderful experience! I booked this tour for my family including my 82yo mother hoping that since it was for all ages, she would be able to participate. Unfortunately, once I arrived in the area I discovered I had booked this for the wrong date. One quick call to the tour company and they quickly and esily accommodated my error and changed their schedule for me. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Louise and Amelia (sisters) who would serve as our tour guides. They told us the story of their land and family, how Covid had effected the Navajo Nation people, and how they had just started offering these tours about 3 years ago. Personal touch doesn't begin to cover it....by the time we finished up, it felt as if we were saying good-bye to longtime friends! As for the hike itself, there is a bit of a steep descent into the canyon but much of it is through stairs that have been constructed by their family complete with hand rails. Amelia took my kids on ahead and Louise stayed behind to assist my mother. Once we all made it to the bottom, Louise stayed with my mother as some of the terrain was a bit challenging for an 82 yo who had never been on a hike in her entire life. Amelia took the rest of us through an amazing tour of the canyon and told us many stories of their childhood and playing in the very canyon we were in. Louise sat with my mom the whole time and told her similar stories which was tremendously enjoyed by my mom. Once it was time to ascend back to the rim, Louise took the lead with my mother and together we assisted her back up the stairs and up to the vehicle for the drive back to the trailhead. Louise and mom shared a hug once we were departing and a couple of days later, I received some pictures via email that Louise had taken of my mother while we were off exploring. Highly recommended doesn't cover the service received from this family. 5 stars all the way around and then some!!!!

When I set out to travel to the antelope canyons I was disappointed that the tours had been sold out. So I decided to look for alternatives because the landscape is beautiful and my trip was an impulse that I needed to follow.
We found Ligaii Sii Anii Canyon and I was just drawn to it. And I have to say, it was beyond my wildest dreams. The landscape was breathtaking, and the experience was truly special.
I can’t fully describe feeling both the expansion and the tightness of the place, the immensity and cozzyness inside the canyons and the colors of the sand rocks against the sun. My boyfriend captured an image that literally looked like the top was made of gold. But beyond that, we were walking and taking the sites alone. It was the guide, my boyfriend and I walking through the canyons. If we can’t be alone in the desert where can we.
If we stopped talking, the silence was deafening. At one point I took a few minutes to meditate at the end of one of the canyons.
Our guide John Adams shared with us about his experience growing up in the Navajo Reservation and how his ancestors herd sheep in those canyons. He showed us some of the plants and shared the place as someone who invites you to his home… we felt like we were walking with a friend, he was simply nice to have around.
At the end we were gifted a gorgeous sunset with a rainbow and our hearts were happy from the experience. Thank you.

Did a tour with Marge a few weeks back and it was the best experience! We visited several canyons on her family's reservation. She did not rush us, allowed us to take our time and shared so much stories and knowledge about the place. They staggered the groups visiting as well so it wasnt too crowded in each canyon. One of my best tour experiences. Definitely would recommend going for these tours esp if you don't want crowds or hoards of tourist and more time to explore.

Beautiful. If you can take the heat, pick a 10 or 11 am. The sun will fall into the canyon from overhead and make for great pics. This tour is not in the more well known upper and lower antelope canyon sections. It is in very close by slot canyons. I chose this company due to the reviews. On our tour, we saw 3 different slot canyons, and were not rushed at all. We were allowed to explore and hang out - I had heard that the other tours were very crowded and rushed. This was not the case here. There were other groups, but they made sure each group was headed to a different section and were staggered. Our guide taught us about the different Native American uses of the plants. Great experience overall

Stunning views, unforgettable experiences, and knowledgeable and personable guide. Ron gave us more than we asked in providing an understanding of Navajo nation and knowledge and connection to desert plants, animals, and earth. Left us both humbled and grateful for the experience.

We just got back from our tour of the slot canyons. It was beyond expectations. First, we were able to book the day before (it filled up fast as we were booking but we got it!). We got there and it had rained and flooded some of the canyons that morning…we thought it was a bust. Then, they said they were pumping out the water so we could still go! I felt lucky we didn’t have to wait long but they had been working on it all morning.
Mike was our guide and was kind, knowledgeable and helped everyone to get the best pics possible (even a tutorial on the iPhone about the best settings) even playing photographer for each family.
We took our 2 boys (4 & 6). I was worried but the 6yr old had no problem and we just held our 4yr olds hand with some tricky stepping and carried him when he got tired. For parents - lots of extra water, snacks, carrier backpack would’ve been nice since it lasted a while and the 4yr old got tired, hats/sunglasses/sunscreen (Aug was def hot!) even if it says it’s not going to be too hot. Before you get into caves there isn’t much shade, and caves are short, the rest of the distance between is longer.
Our one biggest regret…not preparing battery life of phone for more pics. We should’ve started my phone and when that went dead/used up too much storage, used my husband’s.
I’m not sure if they gave us extra time because of the delay or if I read it wrong. We expected and 1.5hr tour and it was easily 2-2.5hrs. I could’ve spent even more time there, it was truly spectacular.
Avoid the crowds and support this local, family business. I cannot say enough good things ❤️ Enjoy!

First time visiting the canyons with the whole family. Since this was a pretty last minute trip, most of the spots of the more popular Antelope canyon tour were sold out. Came across this tour after reading some reviews and decided to book with them. I am so glad we did because we had an amazing time. We had the 8am tour and with 7 of us and we had our own private tour, and we were able to take our time and took as many pictures as we wanted. This is Navajo owned and family operated, tour guide told us stories when they were kids and their culture as we toured the canyon, which we found it fascinating. Great people and the view of the rocks, the canyons and everything is amazing. Would highly recommend this over the other popular Antelope Canyon tours.

Trying to decide between the shorter tour and longer tour. Our group varies widely in age but are all fit. Curious what is the bathroom situation for the longer tours? Just like to be prepared for all family members!

Hey. Is it easy for old people (like around 70 years old) to walk in upper Antelope Canyon tour? Thanks.
Written April 15, 2019
Hi. Depending on how physically fit the person is, it is just a bit difficult, but they have installed steel stairs on the steep parts of the canyon to make it easier to traverse the trail.
This is specifically for the Ligai Si Anii Canyon that we went to, and not so sure about the other canyons in the area.

Hi my family and i (2 adults + 3 boys (17,14,9) will visit Page for 1 night on Sep 21 and we want to visit antelope canyon. Is the Upper or Lower canyon is better? Late afternoon or morning?
We will arrive to Page from Zion park.
Thank you in advance

This tour tour group with the Navajo tribe takes you other slot canyons , Not upper or lower antelope . They have a lot canyons on their land that they are experts in . But I would say definitely early morning is best . Have fun . It’s beautiful
