This is an amazing place that can onluy be described by visiting the lake that god created or at least set the stage for mankind to constuct a dam for water conjservation and to allow the general public to view his magnificance on display. Every day or time of year is differentr. The red rock features of the lake wil inspire and amaze at every turn. If you are into fishing and have the time contact Jesse at Lake Powell Guide Services for a day of fishing on the water. Jesse wil supply all of the equipment and take you for a trip of a lifetime...and even prepare the lunch with the fish you caught earlier in the day.

What a beautiful lake. It was also nice to find a little spot where no one else was and rest for a while after kayaking.

This is a huge and beautiful lake; however the water levels are low in comparison with previous years. It still provides plenty of fun, but proceed with caution.

An impressive body of water with great views. Water levels are lower than normal which is a bit scary given the lake's strategic use as a water supply in the western US. Visit Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon while you are in the area. And spend some time looking at the dam which is certainly an impressive bit of engineering. Do watch your speed if you are driving around as I noticed that the police actively pull people over who may be going a bit too fast in the area. The speed limit is often quite low.

What an incredible oasis in the desert... for now. For now, there is water in the lake and the area is free of debris. Let's hope that we take care of it for generations to come.

This place took us by surprise. We were travelling from Page to Bryce Canyon and decided to go via Lake Powell. It is stunning. We expected just a round lake but there is much more to it than that. Unfortunately we could not stay long enough but we would definitely make time for it on our next road trip.

Lake was at it's minimum and didn't have much water. Still a nice place to see. Lone rock was the place we liked the most.

I've never seen anything like it. I'm from TN and we are sold green which I love!!! The colors of these rocks are unlike anything I've ever seen.
