I love visiting national historic sites including forts in the US. Unfortunately the staff’s attitude towards visitors was really rude and unwelcoming. Especially the woman in the visitor center who talked to several of us in a rude way and most importantly refused to help...More

drove down from kc to see local sites. ft Scott was a good choice very interesting history. surprise that so many buildings were still there, after fort closed all were sold off. ones still there some where furnished other were down to the studs. like...More

This is fabulous site. Great access and explanation of history. Lots of buildings. Summer demonstrations. And an app to go with Tour. I am not a huge cival war history person and I loved it. See the number 1 natioN cemetery while there

Was staying in Nevada, MO and decided to check out Ft Scott. Glad we did! My kids are ages 15 and 10. They had fun learning about the history and touring the buildings. It had a cellphone tour as well. Neat place to see
