Played here last Tuesday July 31st. The course is in rough shape. I don't believe due to negligent's. Due to the fact that Georgia especially the coastal part of Georgia has gotten a lot of rain the past several weeks. Makes the course extremely wet...More
The staff were extremely helpful. Course is really rough on the edges. The price is way to high and the main reason I only gave it three stars. It was very hard to navigate the cart paths as they are not continuous. The layout was...More
'This course was in ruin prior to my arrival in the area. It's a Donal Ross design and has been brought back to its glory . I understand the an area auto dealership owner thought it was best to help the golf course regain its...More
Played Bacon Park Ross 18 yesterday. Course in average shape for this time of year. Fairways are always hard and firm. Lots of roll. Tight lies make it tough on less than precise ball strikers. Greens firm and fast. In very good shape generally. Couple...More
As public courses go it is well maintained. Greens are lightening fast on the main "Ross" course. They have a 9 hole inner course they call the "Legends" course. Hurricane Matthew was unkind to both courses. Many tree carcases litter the woods. Some spots are...More
I had golfed this course 25 years ago and found it to be a real treat. I try to play Donald Ross courses when I get the chance and was worried how the hurricane impacted this course. Golfed the first week of December and all...More

Your money will be well spent researching and finding a better golf course. Bacon Park is in sad shape and the price isn't worth money. Crosswinds came up after I talked to friends about how bad Bacon Park was. Wish I knew that before I spent the money.
Bacon isn't busy at all which is another indicator that people won't waste their money. Maybe for a newby you might not mind the course conditions. I still think you will enjoy yourself much more at a good course and better price. You can always allow groups to play through if you feel your holding them back. Best of luck and welcome to the golf family.
