This is an interesting square as it includes a basketball court and a gazebo. A historic plaque explains "why" the basketball court is there. The square was laid out in 1841 and is named after the Secretary of the Treasury, William Crawford.

Crawford Square is the smallest of the Savannah Squares and it is the only one that is still fenced like all of the squares once were.
