It was a very nice square, peaceful, nice monument.... to be honest, I visited because of the Forest Gump connection. Great picture opportunity. Watch the opener of Forest Gump, when the feather is floating, it shows the square. Recommend a visit.

Yes, this is the square where Forrest sat and related his story to anyone who would listen, but don't look for his bench: it's in a museum and, in any case, there never was a bench on the outside of the square facing the traffic....More

One of many parks Savannah is famous for. This one is popular because Forest Gump had a scene on one of the benches. The bench is no longer there because people were taking pieces of it off as souvenirs.

Beautiful square and where the bench scenes from Forrest Gump were filmed. There is no bench in the spot anymore, just a bed of flowers. The bench is in a museum in Savannah. The square alone is worth a visit. We even ran into "Forrest"...More

A great historical park. Lots of tress for shade on a hot summer day. Near shops and cafes. Come here, see, read, relax and enjoy.

Came here just to see it because of forest Gump. It’s a lovely square and it was quite quiet when we were walking around and taking it all in.

One of the many squares in Savannah, nice to stroll or sit and people watch, shady spots on a hot afternoon

Don’t get me wrong, visiting all the “squares” in the savannah district was something I wasn’t going to miss. So much history there. But I will say quite a few of the squares had the homeless in it. I saw one lady sitting on a...More

We love all of the historic squares. This was a nice rest place with our morning latte. The people coming and going are always fun to watch.

Forest Gump's bench, this was still another beautiful park. Good to know that we just didn't find, since it was never really there. It was beautiful in its own right
