Arrived here at 11am on Sunday. It is a beautiful restored house! There was so much to see. We enjoyed the 2 hours we spent on this self guided tour.

To pass time in Savannah we went to the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum. It was great and a true education. Staff on site was very knowledgeable.

Incredible ship models, great collection of stuff, but POORLY designed and too dark to read most plaques and see details of anything. They will make the excuse that light will fade display materials, but other museums manage to print their information in readable black type...More

Small Maritime museum, but really good ship models and nice grounds. Well worth the visit. For the price it can't be beat.

What an eye opener !!!!! We thought it would be a quick visit but ended up spending 3 hours. The models are incredible and the history of how the seafarers lived is very entertaining and informative.

If you like model ships, you will love this museum! The detail that goes into each ship was amazing! Because we were a group, we were given "living history" guides that told us about the Civil War ships and some of the other battle ships...More

Maybe my expectations were way too high coming in, but I was very disappointed in this museum. I understand why the lighting has to be so low so as to preserve the articles viewed but I could barely read any of the descriptions and explanations...More

I am guessing the gardens are beautiful in the summer. I would rate the museum itself just ok - a bit of a disappointment for me.

You really need to be very interested in ships and the history of them to get the most from this museum, but it was included with other tours on a ticket we purchased and the house it’s in is also quite interesting to see.
