I bypassed the statue one afternoon and only realized that status was for what’s happened in Katyn several hours later. Nice built memorial in that I don’t feel well every time I look at it carefully. Yet still, what happened in Katyn is a painful...More

This monument commemorates the Katyn Massacre, which is a little odd as that is not something that took place in America or that America was a part of, making this monument feel out of place. It's kind of disturbing, and kind of beautiful, and somehow...More

Beautiful Katyn Memorial commemorating the Katyn Massacre, with water fountain cascading at the base. It's located on a roundabout off of the Inner Harbor near a hotel. Summarizes the horrors of the Katyn Massacre that occurred during World War II. Well worth the stop.

On Saturday morning we were walking form the hotel and when crossing the circle we saw this monument. Really nicely done and very informative on the plaques around it.

Most people probably are not familiar with the Katyn massacres in WWII. However, this is a nice dedication to the polish officers executed in the Katyn forest of Russia. Not sure why it is in Baltimore, but its worth a look especially if you are...More

I came across it quite unexpectedly on my way to Fells Point as I was coming from the harbor. I saw this large flame with different statues that seemed to hang from big metal spikes, I thought to myself "great, another postmodern heap of nonsense",...More

This was a beautiful sculpture! We walked by, it's basically in the middle of the street. It's worth going out of your way to see.

If you have any Polish heritage you will be moved by this memorial. It is in the middle of a very busy traffic circle. But it aesthetically pleasing and there is a lot of information to read.

We were staying in this area. It is beautiful and definitely worth viewing and reading the excellent displays. The story is sad. The beautiful monument and fountains are not something to travel to. But do go if you are near.
