For us, the highlight was driving our rental SUV on the beach which we accessed from the Peter Iredale shipwreck. We could have spent more time exploring the fort but decided not to pay the $5/vehicle fee as the park was about to close when...More

Excellent on several counts. Great biking, camping and beach. The historic sites make a great bike ride from the campground. Reserve early! Spaces go fast.

Battery Russell and the beach featuring the wrecked ship "Peter Iredale" was a very fun field trip for our high school students. They had a great time exploring.

Loved the shipwreck, especially photogenic on a sunny day. A very beautiful and quiet beach. A nice find while on the road.

I travelled there last year and ft Stevens really didn’t have a campsite that I would consider close to the beach. The beach is walking distance but it is a walk. You can drive out to the beach and there is a parking area... More

We were just there in late June and you should bring bug repellent. Not swarms like in the Midwest- but enough that we all had mosquito bites.
