When we found the "fort" (it wasn't a fort...it's actually just an earthworks encampment), we weren't sure we were in the right place. After noticing the cannons we figured we were. The "fort" is not in a very desirable neighborhood and there really isn't much...More
We happened upon this stop and found it pretty interesting. It's true it is right next door to somebody's home. The grounds themselves are very peaceful, quiet with a short walk through the woods. If anything we learned what earthworks are.

It seems to me this is an incorrect address for the fort but regardless, it is located in the residential area where I spent many years as a child. What wonderful memories I have running and playing on what use to be deep trenches, lush...More
