I personally came here to surf and i had a blast! This park is where i caught my first wave and Hannah will forever be my girl! I did not intend to stay but ended up getting a campsite for the night as well. It...More
This park located just outside the main gates of Mayport Naval Station is underused. It is a great little park offering a little of everything. They have hiking/biking trails from easy to challenging. A disc golf course. Fishing spots both fresh and salt(watch for gators...More
- It's a campsite within a two minute drive to the beach.
- "Cozy cabins" is a misleading term. It is quite literally a room with four walls, two windows, an air conditioner, and a fire extinguisher. There is no table, no bedframe/bed,...More
Great options at this large park. Nice sites, heavily shaded, close to beach and a lake nearby too! Camp store is a nice touch, $1 selections of Kurig style coffees along with other essentials...Bathrooms are pretty bad, but the showers were hot.
The sights are large, and give the camper a sence of privacy. There are firerings, at each site. There are bike and hiking trails, and fishing lakes. You can also walk to the ocean. The staff is first class.
My husband and I just needed to get out of the house. Hanna is not too far from us and after all these years of going to the beach there I never walked their trails. I was missing out. We had a great time exploring...More

No cable or wifi. Digital antenna or mobile hotspot. If you have Xfinity you can use the app and get the hotspot available that is open (again, only for Xfinity/Comcast customers) that, I've found, is not accessible from every site. Since the park is adjacent to a neighborhood the closer you are to the South side of the campground the more accessibilty increases for use of the Xfinity hotspot.

Some sites are big enough to accommodate the largest RVs that are allowed on highways, plus a car or tow vehicle. Full hookup sites have 20-30-50 amp electric connections, water and sewer but no cable TV. Local HD digital TV channels can be received with a rooftop antenna. Satellite TV reception is blocked by large shade trees on most sites. Cellphone 4G reception is excellent.
