The Cummer collection is small enough to see in 90 minutes, and large enough to get a real taste of multiple visions of beauty. They're not trying to do too much, and so they get the collection just right. When I was there--a Saturday morning--parking...More

My latest visit is about the fourth time since my first six years ago. Building is well maintained both outside and interior. Explanation can be easily found of the art on display. Special exhibits are common. Although on this visit I was between special exhibits....More

The art collection was quite interesting and I found the building facinating as well. Unfortunately the gardens are still suffering from the impact of hurricane Irma, and it will take some time and effort, not to mention money, to get them restored. The very old...More

On free Saturday I expected to see the place crowded with fixed income retirees (like me), but I was delighted to see many families with youngsters exploring the interactive area. I actually enjoyed participating with them and learned some things, too. The free docent’s tour...More

Beautiful museum, well laid out and many different types of artwork. Excited to see so many children sitting on the steps in the garden with their sketch books and colored pencils. The museum was very busy yesterday

So thankful locals can enjoy this Jacksonville gem! Highly recommend the museum! We created our own scavenger hunt then painted outdoors. Yes the two teen boys fought us on the way there but afterward thanked us and asked when we could return! Win!

Definitely! They have an interactive section that's perfect for children. In addition, they offer paint kits that children take out to the gardens to sit and paint.
