The theater is beautiful! The seating is horrible!!! The seats are old old old theater seating that will comfortable hold a small child. No adult small, medium, large, or xlarge could sit comfortably in the seats for a 2-3 hour show. Many people got up...More

Went there several times to see different things. Have to walk from parking garage about a block away, but the venue is stunning! Very well preserved and restored! Seating is comfortable and staff is always friendly and helpful! Also, make sure you bring a jacket...More

What a great venue! We were there for the Little River Band/Pablo Cruise. Not a bad seat in the house. Most folks seem to know each other and there’s lots of conversation and hugs, between aisles. Makes you feel comfortable. Wonderful old theater that’s been...More

What a fun family performance. The Florida Theater is lovely. Do note that there aren’t any restaurants within walking distance open on Sunday. We had hoped to grab a bite before the show. Great time!

The Florida theatre has 1900 seats, a huge theatre and unless you're in the first front rows center you'll feel left out. In addition they are quite happy to allow both video and audio taping. This results in a constant barrage of cell phones pictures...More

This theatre venue is refreshing. There's really no bad seat in the house and it's small enough for the performers to have an intimate connection with the audience (and visa versa). There is an open bar in the lobby and ample restrooms. The location in...More

First time visit: The Florida Theater is deceiving from the outside - I was impressed with the interior ceiling architecture and lighting. The seating and acoustics are good, though the seats are dated. Overall, a good location for enjoying music or plays. A personal security...More

Great view and sound even from back of orchestra level. The only drawback being far back is that a lot of people in Jacksonville seem to go to a concert more for the bar and restrooms than the concert, so people walking around and coming...More

My bride and I have walked from the Omni in the past with no problems. We’re in our 60’s. That’s not saying you couldn’t run into street people.
