I first saw this painting when it was on display in the old cyclorama. What they have done is given it a much better environment to be displayed. In addition, they have added a sound and light show that really brings the painting alive.

Make sure to start your Gettysburg tour with the wonderful show. The colors and sounds are engaging and it is hard to believe that this is an actual oil painting!

Don't miss this!! It is amazing, feels as if you were actually watching the battle. What makes it more astounding is that it was painted in the 19th century. The detail is perfect.
