This Equestrian Monument to Major General John Sedgwick is highly detailed and beautiful. It reminds us that the generals - as well as their horses - were important in the battlefield.

This is a full size statue of Major General John Sedgwick commander of the Union Army Sixth Corps. It is a short walk to get up close to the monument or you can see it from your car.

The equestrian monuments are of interest to both house enthusiasts and the rest of us as well. Even younger children are interested in see these (even if it's only for a short time). Four horse feet on the ground. Not harmed at Gettysburg.

On Sedgwick Ave., and from Lincoln Highway, you can view this life size monument. Take in all that surrounds it so as to understand the importance of such as this.
