Absolutely unbelievable! This organ magnificent and a true national treasure. You would be missing out on a phenomenal experience if you skip hearing a live performance.

Wow! Be sure to go see this amazing, huge, incredible organ when it is being played. Check the schedule on the website. We thought we'd be there for about 15 minutes, but we stayed almost an hour. Be sure to read about its history before or after you go. it's impressive.

I was shopping in Macy’s and suddenly heard this organ start playing. I peered over the 3rd floor balcony in disbelief. After researching my trip to Philly for 2 months, why this never came up as a place to visit I don’t know. Wow! Incredible. A must see.

Wow I can’t believe that this thing even exist. If you or anyone you know ever go to Philadelphia this is one of those things that you have to see in your lifetime. But check the schedule just to make sure that it’s open and Touring.

The organ itself is wonderful. They have posted on the wall days and times when you can see a concert. I asked the cashier if that was suspended due to covid or could we hear it? She responded, "the hours are posted on the wall there, can't you read?" I took that to mean it was on because it certainly did not say "suspended." So we came back at the designated time and waited 20 minutes,. It was all wasted precious vacation time all because the cashier told us we could hear it when this was NOT the case.

We went to an afternoon concert at Macy's. It was fun watching people trying on shoes when the concert began. They looked around wondering where the music was coming from. The music was lovely and the organ is a sight to behold.

This organ has been around for generations. The organ is one thing, the pipes are another thing. Its in the same area of Macy's as the light show they provide during the Christmas season. Its a must for small children during the holidays.

I took my grandson to see the display which shows every hour during the holiday season. Everyone sits in the middle of Macy's waiting to see the beautiful light show.

i wouldn't have known about the Eagle or the Organ if it weren't for my aunt's recommendation when we met in Philly. what a surprise! i LOVED the massive bronze eagle sitting in the middle of the shoe department at Macy's. looking up and see the sparkly organ was really cool too. it's beautiful. i missed the memo that they play it at noon on Saturday which was a shame but i'll just have to go back another time!

Are the daily (minus Sundays) noon recitals are still occurring? I know that is what is posted on the Friends of the Wanamaker Organ website, but would like confirmation. Thank you!

It used to be every hour but it has now changed to every 2 hours. Not sure when this starts as they have several different start times during the holidays. But it is worth going especially if you have young children. Hope you enjoy ad we have for over 30 years it is a holiday tradition for us.
