    Must see in Philly!
The statue is great. It shows the character “Rocky Balboa” from the 1976 movie, “Rocky”. It is right next to the steps that he climbed up and down numerous times. I recommend coming here and taking a selfie quick, because there are usually lines. I also recommend coming here on weekdays for shorter lines.

    Fun for Rocky Fans
If you are a fan of the Rocky movies, this would be fun to see. You can even run up and down the steps with the Rocky theme playing on your phone. It was too hot during our visit. You could combine this with a visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art Thursday- Monday. The museum is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

A must for Rocky Fans or Movie Buffs...
A must...especially for movie/Rocky fans. Near the base of the Philadelphia Museum of Art stairs and nearby surrounded by the beautiful park. Lots of people running up and down the steps as expected. There was a line for taking pictures by the statues but it moved fairly quick as most people took a few quick photos and kept it moving...

    What's up Rocko!
Big Rocky fan. Couldn't believe I was at the statue. Short queues. Staff who work there help you to take a picture and get you amped up. Lived up to expectations and what's not to like with such a legendary statue that's free!

Great city with a lot of history. People were so friendly and nice. We did the cheese steak at Geno's and Pats both were fantastic. The art museum is a must to see . Many great works of art there. People there sooo friendly.

    Rocky Steps
We did not go into the museum, just stopped for the Rocky Steps. Parking can be difficult; we had to park down the street and walk but parking was free. There are no public restrooms, at the time there were porta johns in the park across the street. While your here you can also stop at the Rocky Statue that is next to the steps

    Rocky
The statue is located next to the Rocky steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Parking is very limited, we parked for free down the street and walked over. There are no public restrooms, In the park across the street was porta johns. Some street vendors were selling shirts and drinks. The line for you to take your own pictures went quick, everyone was very respectful waiting their turn.

Not that impressive to be honest but worth a photo
The statue is free but there are people there organising the queue etc. I wasn’t actually sure if they were genuine employed workers or just locals on a hustle? We didn’t bother to join the queue as we weren’t interested n having our photo taken with the statue. We wanted just the statue itself which we managed to get in between changeover of people.

    Huge Tourist Attraction
The 72 steps leading up to the Philadelphia Museum of Art were made famous from the film 'Rocky' in 1976. A 10ft bronze Rocky statue was originally positioned on top of the steps where Sylvester Stallone stood but was later moved and placed on a pedestal in a grassy area near the foot of the steps to the right of the Museum. The position on top of the steps was replaced with a bronze inlay of Converse sneaker footprints with the name "Rocky" above them. There were three bronze statues commissioned, of the other two, one is owned by Sylvester Stallone and one is in the Schomberg Studios Gallery in Denver. The steps are one of the city's biggest tourist attractions.

As a kid we grew up with Rocky. It was good to run to Rocky every morning and around the area good for running. There are many routes you can take each morning. Phila being voted best walking city and for us a good running city along the cycling paths.

A quick photo stop for us to see the statue and the steps. Walked up the top of the steps for an amazing city view! Definately worth the stop if in the area.

We took the Hop On trolley to the Rocky Statue and Art Museum. There wasn't much of a line to wait to get your photo taken in front of the statue. Then you can climb the steps to the entrance. There was a tent out front for Antiques Roadshow when we went so it was awkward to get into the museum.

Our recent US History tour took a brief stop at the front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Some of our group members took the run up the steps and made the iconic Rocky pose at the top for a picture, and all of us viewed the Rocky Statue in front of the museum. I'm not a big Rocky fan, but I'm sure this would be a must see stop for any fan of the “Rocky” movies.

A visit to Philly is not complete without seeing the statue and running up the steps. What an icon! The statue is easy to get to, have to wait in line to take photos but it moved quickly.

Parking is availabe across the street from the front of the museum. You pay $16 with your phone but you need to pay as you are turning in. If you drive past the sign at the parking turn in you will have to walk back to it after parking. Just a minor inconvenience. I don’t know if the parking has a time limit. Rocky statue is next to the base of the steps, not on top of the steps.

The statue is close Tim the base of the rear lower level entrance. Don’t have to pay for museum entrance. Shorter line because it was light rain. Fun to run up stairs after. Not hard.

First we climbed the steps (we did not run like Rocky did). His footprints are engraved in the concrete at the top. Great photos taken. We sat and watched others climbing and running up the steps. The statue is off to the side of the steps. The line moved quickly and we took more photos.

Visited the statue on 8th March and it was brilliant. We walked the steps and took loads of pictures. Well worth the visit if your in the locality.

Highly recommend a tour guide as they know a lot of the in depth of these monuments that you usually wouldn't know.

A must do in Philly. When we went there was a modest queue (line) that took about 15 mins to get through to the front. Be warned! There was a lady there at the front who gave the impression of being an official. On questioning she freely admitted she was not and that any tips were voluntary, but there was certainly pressure to pay her for taking your photo. My advice, agree with the person in front of you to take each others photo and don’t pay the “official” guide

Not much to say other than the obvious - it's a statue of Rocky from the movies. It is in front of the museum to the right of the steps which also feature in the first film. It is in a gated area and people tend to queue up and wait till they get to the front of the queue to get an unobstructed photo which was good; only waited a couple of minutes in January although I imagine it would be busier in peak season.
