Local growers, bakers, culinary specialists, and artisans fill this charming historic freight house. Reminiscent of European markets, it's alive with vendors, people and activity during market hours year-round.

Fun place, but catch it early. It gets really crowded! If you go closer to closing time it is much quieter, but all the flowers and produce are gone. The food is good, but pricey. It’s worth a visit.

My new favorite Dayton place has been around 15 years without me knowing about it. It is a local foods destination. Housed in a very long, narrow historic depot, it is jammed with casual restaurants and booths of local produce, cheeses, baked goods, jams, maple...More

Your website said open. I left the Air Force Museum to come there and you were closed. I am glad we left and went over to Carillon Park. That was a fabulous place. If I knew you were closed I would have come on Thursday.

Second Street Market reminded me of a scaled down Pikes Place Market in Seattle. They have such an interesting variety of food and merchandise. There are lots of unusual and interesting food booths all reasonably priced. A variety of locally grown produce and crafts. Several...More

Enjoyed a morning at this market. I wouldn't expect a farmers market if you go, there are quite a few merchants but so many food vendors it was unbelievable. Thai, Mediterranean, taco bar, crepes, oh my! It was very crowded at 9am on a Saturday...More

The market is open all yer round, the main part of it is indoors. It is much larger in the summer months though as there are venders set up outside and across the street as well.
