Its a nice little scenic drive, but nothing spectacular. Its main purpose seems to be to tie various historical sites together. We drove on it many times during the week.

This road connects the 3 historical areas of Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown. The drive is such a scenic one with gorgeous greenery, bridges, and ocean views. Very calm and serene.

A leisurely drive through dappled woods is the most pleasant route between historic Jamestown and Yorktown. Motorcyclists love its easy curves, and locals favor it as a relaxing alternative to commuter traffic.

A nice drive along the historic park. It is mostly wooded, just a nice and peaceful drive that will also take you directly to Yorktown.

This is a signature attraction and links Jamestown Landing, colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown with one of the most beautiful drives you'll ever experience. DO NOT SPEED ! You be caught.

I recently visited the Historic Triangle for the first time and ended up using the Colonial Parkway to get around. My Dad said that it was his favorite road he's ever driven on. While I wouldn't go that far, I certainly enjoyed the drive. The...More

This drive is worlds better than route 64. My wife and I always take the parkway between Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. There’s never any traffic, the scenery is wonderful and there are many places to stop for the view or for a roadside picnic. Take...More

Drove down this several times during our trip and really enjoyed it. Very nice to drive on and well maintained. There are quite a few scenic spots to pull off and stop at. The brick bridges were quite neat to see too.

I think the Colonial Parkway is one of America's most peaceful byways. It goes from Jamestown to Williamsburg and Yorktown. It features stone bridges, few intersections, and is like a long drive through a lush park.

Williamsburg is right in the middle of the Parkway (goes from Yorktown to Williamsburg to Jamestown), so if you go one way you go directly to the Yorktown Battlefield, and if you go the other, you end up right at Jamestown... More

Yes...of course. It is open year round and locals use it to avoid I-64 when it gets jammed up or they want a peaceful, easy drive. There are a lot of historical markers and pull-offs. I great place to go star gazing as the... More

We typically cycle from Yorktown to Williamsburg, grab a bite at the Wine @ Cheese shop at Merchant's Square, then return back to Yorktown for Ben & Jerry's
