Went just to walk and look. The museum is worth the cost, watch the short movie. We met with a guide by chance and he was fantastic. John Henry Lee, he stayed in character the entire time as a prerevolutionary southerner. Awesome.

Car tour is self guided and easily navigated. If you watch the 15min film in the visitors center first you understand more clearly.

Ranger tour is a must. You could walk around this place and look. The Ranger we had presented so much detail in her hour and 15 minute talk and also moved from one place to another. She added what happened on the Bay waters. She...More

The visitor center is small. See the movie and then do the one hour ranger talk/walk. Ranger Linda brought the site to life with her very animated descriptions of the place and soldiers. I learned about the critical role the French Navy had in helping...More

Stop at the visitor's center for orientation and a map for the auto tour. At location "B" is the National cemetery. Not a Revolutionary site, but mostly from the Civil War. 1595 markers with Names of US Soldiers. A few CSA soldiers, but most sad...More

The drive through the battlefield is awesome. There are several stops along the way to view the fields to appreciate what it must have been like. Many cannons to see and narratives. Loved it. Everyone should experience this.

What a fun day, definitely needed more days to explore. The town is so fun to just walk and look around, even can go to the beach. The American Revolution Museum would be the first place to visit, then head to the battlefield. We found...More

Well done presentation that enables you to get a true sense of the battle for Yorktown. Nicely laid out and well maintained.

The roads through the battlefield are standard 2-lane roads. As with other battlefields around the country, you stop, park, and walk to the point of interest. At several of the stops there are parking lots capable of... More

My dad is over 60 and he was offered a lifetime pass for 10 dollars and is good for all national parks. We were there on a Wednesday and had the park to ourselves. They offer an audio tour so you can move at your own pace.
