A free place to take the kiddos! Kids enjoy seeing the fish and turtles. Maybe they don't care so much about the fishing lure exhibit but if you're playing downtown by the River this is a great place to stop by.

Great jewel in the River Market in Little Rock. Lots of activities offered. Aquarium, alligator feeding, etc. lots of educational opportunities. I built a bluebird house while I was there.

My husband and son love visiting nature centers so we’ve seen quite a few. This one was just an average Nature Center. There’s nothing really special about it. It has the normal amounts of fish and critters and taxidermied animals. There’s lots of reading on the displays. Nothing really extraordinary, but if you’re looking for something free to do for a few minutes, it’s a good place to go.

Here's a great place to learn about Arkansas nature and conservation efforts. Our kids enjoyed the exhibits and interactive areas. Nice stop in Little Rock!

This place got my attention after walking by the gardens bordering the River Trail. The lobby has all sorts of pamphlets on state parks and things to do outdoors, if you want to explore the state after leaving here. The rooms have interesting specimens of all sorts of native animals, with several tanks of live fish and reptiles! Little kids will love getting up close with these critters. Birds and bees are also represented here, and a great stopping place for young and old birdwatchers alike.

Tucked behind several restaurants just off the Riverfront Trail, this little Nature Center is worth a stop if you happen to be with children. They'll learn about local fish and wildlife, but it's really not very large and won't take much of your time.

This small venue is chock full of great information and displays of the bountiful and varied wildlife populations in Arkansas. A terrific rainy day diversion. Kids love the large and well-kept fish tanks, as well as the other live displays. An amazing collection of lures and other angling tackle is on loan and on display. A gem of a place with great staff!
