Most things are closed but you can still do the gift shop. Staff extremely helpful in suggestions for things to do as well as explaining their purpose

The museum is so cute! Great for younger kids, but still engaging for teens. Lots of interesting things to read, and hands-on activities. The little farm outside was the best part. Many different animals, that had enough room in their enclosure to walk around and be comfortable. Really nice gift shop. The staff were very kind and answered questions.

Really enjoyed seeing the Gardens , visiting the Gift shop .
The Goat soap & Lotion are made local . They only had a few animals out ( Alpacas )& the barn was closed , maybe because it was late in the season ? This is a free walk thru . We did eat lunch there. They make your Food from the gardens so you know it's fresh . The staff were very helpful and nice . My take away is we are so lucky and shouldn't take what we have for granted .

Heifer International is a world organization educating poor communities conservation and recycling, farming techniques, and livestock care. When you arrive there are very friendly and helpful volunteers to inform you about Heifer Intn'l. There are many global displays of the work they do in the USA and the world. There is an urban farm with many ornamentals, fruits, and vegetables that are developed for educational purposes in the communities they visit. Outside you can visit with the Alpacas, cow, goats, roosters, turkey and the caretakers who will answer all questions about the animals. Inside there is a cafe and gift shop. Nice pleasant relaxed visit.

We visit Heifer at least once a year. My kids love it and the staff are so nice and welcoming. We learn something every time we go. They have a great cafe, as well!

MY wife and I had donated to Heifer International in our grandchildren name over the years so after we went to the Clinton Library we walked across the street to Heifer and found some delightful people at the front desk who explained a few things we already knew. We toured and saw a few animals and left.

I have given to this organization for years and was pleasantly surprised to learn about this farm/headquarters while I was in Little Rock. It's a very nice place to kill an hour or so. The farm is small but has some friendly goats, chickens, alpacas. The gift shop is very nice. I bought some dried fruit that was utterly inedible. Yuk. But it wasn't expensive. Also bought some wooden gifts and a nice shirt.

If you are in Little Rock, I urge you to spend an hour (or more) at Heifer International and touring Heifer Village and Heifer Urban Farm to learn more about their mission. I had half a day to kill and was pleasantly surprised on my time spent at Heifer. The volunteer staff at the Village and Urban Farm were warm, welcoming, and knowledgable. I also toured the Heifer Headquarters and learned more about their architecture and award-winning design for being environmentally friendly. It's not lip-service here; they truly do care and it shows! Plus...it's FREE. What more could you ask for?
