We visited Mitzi E. Newhouse theater to see a great show Admissions. We really liked the way this venue is designed, a veritable amphitheater which enables a good view of the stage, basically from every seat and part of the audience. It is located in the lower level of the Vivian Beaumont Theater building, so one has to take the elevator or stairs down to access the theater. The entrance is from 65th St., and right next door to Elinor Bunin Monroe Film Center. Please have in mind that a sign for Mitzi E. Newhouse theater doesn't exist, so just get under the awning that says Lincoln Center Theater on its side.

Good theatre for being a roundhouse. Also, the seats and legroom are much more comfortable than the Vivian Beaumont Theatre above it. However, it is smaller and more intimate.
The staff is friendly. There is a bar and bathrooms as well.
No drinks or food allowed in the theatre.
I do not think the theatre is wheelchair friendly. If attending with disabilities make sure to call beforehand.

Located in beautiful Lincoln Center - it is wonderful to attend this pleasant theater without all the crowds and the noise of the theater district. The place is nicely decorated, the staff was helpful and the play ("How to Transcend a Happy Marriage" with Marisa Tomei) was good, enjoyable and thought provoking.

The Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater opened to the public on November 10, 1967. It is located in the lower level of the Vivian Beaumont Theater building.
We have enjoyed a couple of plays here and enjoyed them both. Sight lines and acoustics are both splendid from every location.

We walked up to the box office, knowing that OSLO, the current hit was totally sold out. However, Bob, in the box office, who is always wonderful, wrestled with the ticket system, and managed to grab two great seats for us. The Newhouse is a near perfect 300 seat theatre, and a great place to see serious theatre. The staff is always friendly. Visit the Indie Cafe next door before or after.

The theater is located below the Beaumont at the Lincoln Center Theater. I love the round concept of the theater which gives audiences a very good vantage point. Leg room is ample at this theater.
