Speaking from a tourist POV, I think all parks in Manhattan are great. Being that I’m a sucker for NYC architecture, I came here to take in the view of the Flatiron building. Conveniently, there is an indoor market across the street where we can grab a bite to eat or a drink, sit at the park and people watch. We don’t own a dog; however, we saw a dog park section. The attached pic happens to be of the building where Chelsea Clinton and J Lo live or lived.

I was walking down to Union Square and stopped by the park. It is quite large and does have quite a few things to see. there were plenty of statues, a playground and a fountain. The most interesting part is the building surrounding the park. There were quite a few interesting ones including the Flatiron Building. There was also a Shake Shack building along with plenty of outdoor seating. The park is a nice place to wander around and rest. The lawn was closed off though and looked like there was a crane in it.

A nice little oasis at the end of Broadway, where you can take a pit stop on your walk. It is quiet, even with a lot of traffic around the streets.
There is a nice playground for children, and at the same time there are cafes around, so you can enjoy a coffee to go in the park.

One of my favorite parks in the city. They always have cool art installations and it’s a great picnic spot in the summer. Dog park is great. Also you can see some notable buildings like Empire State, Flatiron, and NY Life Building.

One of the most beautiful parks in New York, in front of the Flatiron Building. Full of tables and benches. You can read, eat, sunbathe without being disturbed. You can go to Eataly to buy something to eat... or simply to the bathroom.

On my travels around New York I discovered loads of small parks dotted around the city. It's great that there are so many of these around so that people can use them to meet up, walk their dogs or just relax and enjoy nature.

Madison Square Park which is not too far from Madison Square Garden is in the shadow of the famous Flat Iron Building and a perfect place to sit and pause and admire the architecture as well as the bustle of people going here and there.

Beautiful small park surrounded by the hustle & bustle of the city! Two dog parks are situated inside the park as well as lots of benches, & walking areas! There was an art sculpture set up as of Feb 2024 that was beautiful to check out!

This is a charming little park after Central Park. It's small but has enough benches, tables for a quick break, lunch, tea or just sit and read your favorite book. Eataly is across the street so I often get a snack from there and bring it back to the park. I highly recommend at least a walk through if you are in the Flatiron area. They always have interesting art installations/exhibits.

We stopped by this beautiful, calming space on each of the three days when we visited NYC. Its location close by the iconic Flatiron building made it a pleasant, attractive sanctuary from the surrounding city bustle. The lush foliage was eye-pleasing. On one visit we sat quietly and enjoyed live music by a jazz trio while sipping a delicious strawberry milkshake from nearby Shake Shack. On another occasion, we watched pets playing happily in the dog run while their proud owners looked on. The trees standing solemnly in one section, part of an art exhibit by Maya Lin of the DC Vietnam Memorial fame, provide a picture-perfect backdrop for posing with the majestic Empire State Building in the distance. It’s a beautiful park with many magical moments.

Madison Square Park is a nice little oasis in the middle of Manhattan at a time when the City is going through so much. It has a nice little playground, walking paths, a fountain and the original Shake Shack to eat. There is lots to do in the park.

The architecture around the park is very impressive. This section of the City was built around the end of the 1890's to WWI. The buildings are very impressive. It is a nice place to just sit and relax and people watch.

It is a nice place to sit and relax.
