We stayed at the Algonquin hotel and used the bar several times. Their cocktails are strong, they have a good selection of whiskeys. If the bartender is offering a special that he's made for the day, take him up on it. We had a great...More

This place is right out of a movie. If I didn't know any better I'd say I saw Humphrey Bogart sitting in a corner having a drink by himself. Great drinks. I always meet someone interesting here. It's been around forever and will last forever....More

OK the place is all BLUE...The bar seats are falling apart..what they are charging for drinks should be up dated. Did we have fun?..yes we did. Nice folks at bar..stop relax and have a drink..your blues will go away...till the Bill comes.

This bar is super cool and is definitely 100% blue lighting so if you aren’t sure about that, I’d try somewhere else. The history of the place is cool with signature cocktails to match. Glad we tried it.

Great location, great bartenders, but suspiciously empty on a Friday night in NYC. The drinks felt a bit weak and underwhelming. The music was good and not too overpowering. The blue light doesn't necessarily flatter everyone. Probably would choose to explore other places rather than...More

Poor service in the beautiful bar at the Algonquin Hotel. It did not seem to the waiter issues but rather poor staffing.

My wife and I stopped here after going to the theater. It's a great historic bar. The interior, is beautiful, but they need to get rid of the blue lights. They were distracting and out of place. I hope to return once they get rid...More

Had drinks in the Blue bar and found its garish blue lights distracting. We moved to the traditional Algonquin Lobby bar, former location of the legendary New Yorker Round Table. Wonderful traditional setting.Drinks were spot on.
