A beautiful spot for a cocktail. Steeped in literary history (we even saw the famous round table next door), the Blue Bar was a lovely bar to stop in for a special drink. We had a couple of Hamlets, and it was a highlight of...More

Somewhat strange choice of decor. Interesting none the less . Well made cocktails, plesant bartenders. Good stop pre or post theater. The Royalton across the street has a much more hip scene.

We stayed at the Algonquin hotel and used the bar several times. Their cocktails are strong, they have a good selection of whiskeys. If the bartender is offering a special that he's made for the day, take him up on it. We had a great...More

This place is right out of a movie. If I didn't know any better I'd say I saw Humphrey Bogart sitting in a corner having a drink by himself. Great drinks. I always meet someone interesting here. It's been around forever and will last forever....More
