We stopped by here whilst visiting the famous Katz Deli nearby.
The store is very well stocked with a wide variety of candy at reasonable prices. There are items from all over the world. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
A good place to pick up candy if you're in the area.

I've been to Economy Candy a number of times and if you're visiting NYC, make sure not to miss it. It's like stepping back into your childhood as you walk through that candy land. I had pre-ordered some candy which I was picking up today and decided to grab a few more items. As I turned around, I noticed that the line had grown incredibly long. Yamilex, who had just given me my order, noticed my dismay (I was on my way to tutoring and in a bit of a rush) and was able to ring me up on a portable device. Now that is what I call exemplary customer service! Thank you Yamilex - much appreciated! You rock! I highly recommend Economy Candy! I'll definitely be back!

We heard about this place and stopped in while in the neighborhood. It was cool to see a mix of old and new items in the store. Some of the stuff brought back memories. There is something for everyone. Definitely worth a trip to explore what they have to offer.

A lot more than just candy this is a throwback into my childhood. Wax packs from the 80s and 90s, prank fit type items, candies you haven't seen in ages. This is a major throwback and is a really fun place to visit.

Well worth the trip over there. Every kind of candy you can think of. Including European candy that I am a huge fan of. Best thing is that the price was very reasonable compared to many in the city

Purchased .6 pound of chocolates that were $27.95 a pound. Bought half pound of chocolate covered macaroons that were $7.99 a pound. Grabbed 4 random wrapped chocolates. Store had lots more that I’d revisit another time. Rocky Road bar and cashew type patty looked enticing.

Fun candy store, though not exactly what I thought it would be. It’s in the name, so I should have known better.
I thought this would be more about exotic/unique/unusual candy or candy from other countries. And there were a few things, such as lays potato chips from Asian countries. And there are some novelty treats, like gum packets with fun sayings on them, or the baseball card gum from my youth in the 80s.
But a lot of this is run of the mill stuff, but conveniently packaged in on place. Jelly belly, lollipops, various types of fairly mainstream chocolate. A lot of hard candy and suckers considered “grandma candy.” Things like mints, butterscotch.
But it isn’t about fancy or exotic. If you’re looking for a large, affordable selection to please the masses, this is your place.
Next I’ll check out one of the cities specialty exotic candy shops.

Don’t make the same mistake as us. We walked quite a bit out of our way to visit Economy Candy only to find they currently have limited hours. Even though it was closed, it looked awesome peeking through the windows.

A family run business in NYC, FANTASTIC! This Candy Store is fully loaded with Candy from everywhere. Be prepared to spend alot of money, not because of the prices but the massive wide selection of candy. Selection of merchandise available too. This Candy Store is full of history

Economy candy is a great, vintage candy store in the Lower East aside of Manhattan. You can find every candy imaginable there, new or old. I highly recommend giving Economy candy a visit.

Hola! Venden artículos vintage, como los dispensers de golosinas o los muñecos? o sólo venden golostinas?
Buscaba algún regalo que sea de los años 50 o 60 para un familiar. Gracias!

Looking for a candy from 50 years ago. Don't recall the name, but do remember it had raspberry filling on graham bottom with chocolate all surrounding. May have had chocolate sprinkles too.
Sure would like to find it.
