Diane & I spent hours wandering along - window shopping, eating, people watching - Central Park to Times Square - great!

One of the most famous shopping streets in the world. Packed with locals and tourists but for a reason. Low end to high end. You can find almost anything on 5th. Except a good meal.

Most of brandname are here. Good place to waste your money. Some brands give you special discount for tourist and some brand wave you for tax.( if you pay them in cash) You should have more than 6 hours to stay in this area.

Walking on this avenue is a must for city visitors. The closer you get to Central Park the density of high-end stores increases.

Fifth Avenue is the official border of east and west sides of Manhattan. Very upscale shopping and very exclusive apartment buildings.

Most prestigious chains have their flagship store on this world renowned stretch of roadway. Other institutions homed here are the Rockefeller Centre & NY Public Library. Lovely to stroll along and gawp at their stately presence as well as several other beautiful skyscrapers.

Well, I am not a shopping maniac so I am not that impressed with 5th Ave. As many others said you can find every kind of shop along it, but that's not my cup of tea. We walked from the Metropolitan museum down to 36th...More
