    Old History, Recent History
It's really lovely, yet simple, inside and needs to be seen for its beauty. But it is also historic and you learn the history of how this church came to be on the edge of the early settlement. And then there is the recent history. When the twin towers came down, the church graveyard was covered in toxic dust. And the chapel operated as a place of rest for the hard-working crew who tried to find survivors at the area of tragedy.

    Solemn yet low-profile
This small, somehow unremarkable chapel is a serene corner at downtown Manhattan. One of the earliest churches in New York City, St. Paul's Chapel is a key witness to American history from George Washington to 9/11. It stands as if time has never changed.

Do not miss visiting this historic chapel.
Quiet, spiritual, experience to walk through the cemetery area. Suggest that you enter via back door and into the chapel. To learn of its history and connection to 9/11 is thought provoking. Amazing to experience this quiet retreat in the middle of the Financial area. of NYC

Beautiful and relaxing way to spend 30 minutes on a Sunday night
We came for the Sunday night candlelight event with singing and candles. The environment was so relaxing and rewarding and the space was perfect for the event. The choir was only about 8 people, but the created incredible harmonies. My wife isn’t much for sitting still or church music, but she found it beautiful and relaxing as well. I found the harmony to be reminiscent of great classical instrumental orchestras at time and like an inspiring church choir at others. Really a great 30 minutes.

    Not to be missed
This is an incredible piece of history and so emotional. The only building in the area to escape with no damage not even a broken window. Such a focus of sanctuary on that terrible day. So much to see and absorb , well worth paying for a tour so you don't miss anything. Wow !

The Sunday night prayers with the Church choir at 8pm was fantastic. Candles throughout the Church provides the lighting and the four choir members create wonderful harmonies.

This church was my favorite of the trip. It's way less grandiose than nearby Trinity Church yet has an even more amazing story behind it. Definitely worth a stop.

This is supposed to be the oldest church in New York - dates back to 1766, and it is definitely worth the visit, knowing that it was visited by George Washington
