It is a very grand building which represents the many financial deals that must have been made within its walls. If you are a fan of architecture you may enjoy it but when I visited in October 2023 it was not possible to enter.Visited October 2023Traveled soloWritten October 28, 2023

The New York Stock Exchange is colloquially known as the Big Board. It is housed in an impressive Beaux Arts building in Wall Street.. Wall Street, a name synonymous with the NYSE. Wall Street is a mall, narrow thoroughfare, dominated by the NYSE. The NYSE provides a marketplace to trade stocks. The Big Board is, by far, the world's largest capital market. I visit Wall Street every time I am in New York. In addition to the conspicuous Raging Bull sculpture there is now a statue of small girl. Of course, stock traders love a bull market. Wall St is located in the Financial District, in the south of Manhattan Island.

Perfect place to visit if you are a fan of stock market. There are souvenier shope close by and as such of lots of NYC attractions near by. My favourite was the statue of little girl who stands with her face towards NY Stock exchange and is named Fearless Girl.

It’s not the most obvious NYC attraction, but it’s one of the most defining places for the city. This birthplace of businesses will forever stand as an anchor of Lower Manhattan’s financial community.
Like so many New York landmarks, the stock exchange isn’t just a building, but a critical part of the city’s history. And its influence stretches beyond the borders of New York to the rest of the country and even the world.
It is one of the oldest and largest stock exchanges on the planet. Located on Wall Street in Lower Manhattan, the NYSE symbolizes capitalism and is the financial center of the U.S.
While the stock exchange is not accessible, another famous financial building is around the corner — the Federal Reserve, a bank the size of a block with a massive gold vault inside.

Feeling like you're in a movie, this part of the city fascinates with what it knows from films but doesn't have much to offer. If not queues to take a photo with the "Charging Bull" and little else. You can see that it is a part of the city dedicated to finance and work, where those who work there rather than tourists really live.

Externally, it just looks like a typical city downtown building. But in this case, it is North America's largest stock market. The building is fenced as well, so really cant get close other than to look up and stare.

I visited the New York Stock Exchange from the outside in August 2021. Many years ago I went to the Visitors Gallery but the NYSE has been closed to visitors for a long time. I still think it is worth visiting from the outside and taking a photo. After all, how can you visit Wall Street without seeing the New York Stock Exchange.

Set in the world's financial heart by Wall St this is the most famous world's stock exchange.
The facade is impressive, but that's only you can do there - admire it from outside.
As I was told by security guards - no visits from 9/11.

hi there I would love to bring my dad inside the nyse as we are visiting from canada, anyway we can go about doing so?
Written April 3, 2015
I was told by a reliable source you can go inside for around a $2000 donation, to what I don't know, and I have no idea how you go about this. I have been inside the exchange before 9/11 and I cannot say it is worth $2000.

Hi there I just saw your post and I am taking my parents on a vacation to ny end of this month. How would I go abouts going inside to see all the live action of the stock exchange for my father?
Written April 3, 2015
Hi there,
Did you get an actual tour inside the NYSE? If so, how? I heard they are no longer offering tours, and I don't want an outside historical tour.
Thanks,
Written April 2, 2015
Kent mentioned pre registering to go inside the NYSE. How do you go about that? Is there a special tour that offers that?
