Small bar with very creative drinks. Essentially, each drink highlights a different herb or plant. It easily has the most inventive and best drinks I've ever had. Great place to go with a couple of friends early in the evening for a first drink.

I spent two days going on a cocktail bar hop with my boyfriend. In total we visited 15 cocktail bars. This by far was the best overall. The cocktails were beyond delicious, my personal favorite was the MACE made with beet juice which honestly I...More

Friendly and welcoming bar with unassuming bartenders who turn out to be alchemists, in a really good way -- they make unusual and truly delicious cocktails, which take time, so sitting at the bar is a fun show. Soundtrack is louder than it needs to...More

We came here with a small group of friends for late night drinks and LOVED this place! Great decor, had a DJ there that night with music (not for dancing, just listening to and enjoying - no room to dance). But what we loved most...More

I invited my friends to this place for their "Miracle on Ninth Street" special, which they have for the holiday season. I arrived first and found that there was a staff person at the door not letting people in. When I tried to go in...More

The bar staff does amazing things with spices, potions and bitters at this place. The mixed drinks (which are named after a series of spices) were phenomenal, and Mace is definitely in my "I'd go back there" category now. Try the "White Pepper"... for about...More

There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village,
which offers plenty of unique small businesses
