What a waste of time this visit was. Did not get any sense of Japanese culture except at all. There is no information on any of the plants, not that any stand out anyway. Could not believe they are charging over $10 for a 10...More

We toured the gardens as a group with a prearranged guide. The guide was very useful as they explained many of the ideas behind the gardens.

Its a garden alright, but in my opinion its seriously overrated and way overpriced. Spend your money elsewhere in Balboa Park. Its an awesome place with lots to see and do.
